AutoCAD Based Piping (Ribbon/Toolbar/Location)

Description:

Error occurs when using some commands.

Autodesk has just released AutoCAD 2026.1.2 - and it breaks HydraCAD. It includes a major programming change by Autodesk that will require a lot of work and a large update by us. That update is being worked on right now, along with a version of HydraCAD for AutoCAD 2027. Both are now affected by essentially the same programming change.

What not to do?

 

  • Do not update or install to 2026.1.2 if possible
  • 2025 will be affected mid-September by the same programming change

 

What to do?

 

  • Install and use 2024 as that will not be affected and it is the most solid version
  • Install HydraCAD v57.08 and update to v57.09

OR

  • Uninstall AutoCAD 2026 only (no need to uninstall HydraCAD)
  • Install AutoCAD 2025
  • Go to the START menu, run the file "Configure AutoCAD for HydraCAD v58"



This does NOT work:

Autodesk says they provide an option to download the original/pre-updated version.

After installing "the old" version, upon opening AutoCAD, it still showed 2026.1.2
